Admission to Doctor of Education (EdD) includes:
- Admission to this doctoral program is open to students from all disciplines
- Recognised master’s degree in any field or equivalent level (preferred with considerable years of experience in leadership roles in any academic or other professional areas)
- English Level – IELTS Level 6.0 or equivalent

- Statement of Purpose which details the reason for pursuing the (EdD) program
- Previous Educational Qualification documents
- Passport-sized photo in formal attire
- Photocopy of National ID or Passport
- Updated Resume which includes relevant publications and research

Coursework 1: Foundation of Research - 15 Credits
Coursework 2: Research Methods and Statistics - 30 Credits
Coursework 3: Writing your Paper - 15 Credits
Subject Matter Seminar / Webinar Reflective Paper (1000 words) - 30 Credits
Doctoral Thesis (30000 - 35000 words) - 90 Credits
Viva Voce (Thesis Defense) - 60 Credits

Course Completion Requirement
Any student pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) has to fulfill the following requirements:
1. Submit a research proposal outlining the problem statement that needs to be approved before the candidate can start the research.
2. Submit an original doctoral dissertation which can be a standalone or a compilation of written research works.
3. Defend the research thesis in front of a panel consisting of external academic experts.

It was a great experience taking up this course. Initially, I was skeptical about taking the course given my situation having a one year old kid to take care of along with my household chores and office work. When I started this course, I was not even sure if I would be able to make it. But then the course materials were very easy to follow and with the feedback on each assignment given by the course instructor I was able to complete the course with a first class grade. This course was structured very well and real time examples in each module helped me understand things better. For an aspiring teacher like me, this course was really useful. It helped me understand the future of education and teaching.
