Grading

40% PQT- Personal Quality Thinking:

A grade point average of E (2.0 - 50%) or higher is required to earn any course credits.
Assessment Process
The assessment procedure encompasses three phases:
Specialized evaluation:
In case of any submitted assignment (report, project or thesis), the concerned department of ACT performs a quick format review to affirm whether the submitted work is in accordance with the basic format necessities recognized in the assessment guidelines. Once it has been confirmed, the assignment is then furthered to the concerned academic expert (professor) for evaluation of the content. Academic experts are carefully chosen on each instance from ACT’s vast academic network, proficient for such a degree program, and available for the assessment. The professor will probably evaluate the submitted work during working period, i.e., ranging from 3 - 7 weeks. If the ultimate grade does not meet the minimum grade (Satisfactory - 50% - 59%), the paper needs a rework and is to be resubmitted. The evaluating professor will offer any required academic support and explain the ways to secure a good grade (for any grade lower than Second Division (60% - 69%)). Additional improvements are not required for higher grades.
Supervision:
ACT’s Administrator or Supervisor will review the paper evaluated by the specialized assessment professor a second time. The supervisor will emphasise on the chosen format and consider the individual quality thinking criteria of the submitted paper. Similarly, the supervisor will also look into the teacher's criteria, grading and comments to guarantee the proper correction of the paper according to ACT’s distance learning higher education pedagogical standards. If required, in case of noteworthy differences between the work quality and the assigned grade, the supervisor may choose to alter the grade given by the initial evaluator by 0.5 points (a 15% plus or minus). Final Grade & Transcript:
The assessment and administration results of the submitted papers (report, project or thesis) are offered to the Academic Board faculty for a final review and elaboration of the grades certificate or transcript. To finish off, the Faculty of the Academic Board will sign the certificate and transcript.
