Alumni – Asian College of Teachers (ACT)

We, at Asian College of Teachers, put a lot of emphasis on student feedback as we believe that it not only helps to improve the quality of education imparted but provides an insight into the dynamics of learning, gives a direction towards sound quality assurance process and helps in the assessment of other areas of administration. Above all, our alumni feedback is extremely beneficial for our future students.

My experience with the Asian College of Teachers has been incredibly enriching and rewarding. The course content was thoughtfully designed, combining theory with practical applications that truly prepared me for real-world teaching scenarios. The support from tutors was consistent and encouraging—they were always ready to provide guidance and constructive feedback. I also appreciated the flexibility of the program, which allowed me to manage my studies alongside my teaching responsibilities. What do you believe you will benefit from the program at this stage of your career? How would you like to see your career develop over the next 5 years? What are your career objectives? From a young age, I was drawn to education. I began studying in this field but had to put my academic journey on hold to pursue professional opportunities and start a family. One of my biggest regrets is not completing my initial degree, despite being so close. However, life has a way of guiding us back to where we belong. For most of my career, I have worked in education, training, and community service—where I feel most alive. When the opportunity arose to study with the Asian College of Teachers and the European International University, it felt like divine providence. I couldn’t wait to get back to learning, refining my skills, and expanding my knowledge. Initially, I focused on the Senior and FET phases, but this time, my studies introduced me to Special Educational Needs, Foundation, Intermediate, and Senior phases. This broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of the diverse needs of learners. It also brought back memories of my own schooling, making me reflect on my early experiences and the changes in education over the years. I recognized mistakes I had made both as a student and later as a teacher. These reflections reinforced my belief in the power of quality training, strong guidance, and the importance of learning from those who genuinely care. For me, education is not just a career, it is a calling. It is my way of serving others, particularly the youth, who are often the most vulnerable and overlooked in society. I have always believed that my purpose extends beyond simply working, earning a living, and retiring. I am here to serve my Creator by serving the people entrusted to me. This program has reignited my vision and strengthened my passion for lifelong learning. It has reminded me that true education is not just about acquiring knowledge but about wisdom, purpose, and service. As a teacher and facilitator, I see myself as a guide, helping others navigate their own journeys of discovery. The wisdom and experiences passed down to me through school, university, and life itself are gifts I am eager to share. Over the next five years, I want to deepen my impact in education. With this qualification, I will be better equipped to serve my community, inspire curious minds, and lead others in their pursuit of excellence. More importantly, I will honor my Creator by fulfilling the purpose I have always felt so strongly—helping others find meaning, knowledge, and enlightenment in their own lives.

Feedback Statement – Thesis Journey I am deeply grateful to ACT and EIU for giving me an opportunity I never would have had otherwise. Your support made it possible for me to pursue and complete something I once thought was beyond my reach. This has been the most challenging part of my academic journey—completing a PhD thesis of this magnitude, especially on a topic like burnout that sometimes overwhelmed me in the very process of writing about it. I shed many tears. I often felt out of my depth, even incompetent at times. But I persevered. There were moments I didn’t know how I would finish—but I did. I am immensely proud of what I’ve accomplished. This research is not only groundbreaking, it is a reflection of resilience, commitment, and growth. I pulled it off—and I stand taller because of it.

I have completed my PG Diploma in TEFL/TESOL and continued my Master's with specialization in Educational Administration with ACT and EIU. My learning experiences with ACT have been phenomenal. I have been well guided by my instructors at all times and it has been a pleasure to be an alumni of this institute. After my PG Diploma I was appointed as an English teacher at a school I have been trying for many years and within 3 years of working I was promoted to the Head of the English Department as soon as I completed my Master's. The knowledge I have gained through these programs have been very helpful in my career and my creativity as a teacher and now a team leader. I am planning to continue my Doctorate at the same institute but still looking for guidance as to which field to take... But will start very soon.

It was a great experience taking up this course. Initially, I was skeptical about taking the course given my situation having a one year old kid to take care of along with my household chores and office work. When I started this course, I was not even sure if I would be able to make it. But then the course materials were very easy to follow and with the feedback on each assignment given by the course instructor I was able to complete the course with a first class grade. This course was structured very well and real time examples in each module helped me understand things better. For an aspiring teacher like me, this course was really useful. It helped me understand the future of education and teaching.

DISCLAIMER

Asian College of Teachers (ACT) undertakes a continuous review of its teacher training courses to ensure imparting high quality education. However, there might be circumstances outside of ACT’s control which might affect its stakeholders like if you are planning to teach in a different country, applying for a teaching license, pursuing higher studies or trying to get the certificate approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE) of a particular country then you can do so with the certificate issued by the University. However, each country’s Ministry of Education (MoE) or educational bodies set certain standards that are indispensable for the pursuit of higher studies or teaching in schools in that country. So it can be a possibility that you may be able to use the certificate for higher studies or teaching purposes in one country and not in another. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you investigate thoroughly and check with the relevant authorities regarding the acceptance of the certificate issued by us before you enrol on a particular course. ACT strives to offer high-quality education and the certificates issued by the University can be valuable for various purposes internationally, but still it is crucial for individuals to verify the specific recognition of the certificate in the country they intend to use it, especially for formal education or professional licensing purposes. This approach ensures that the stakeholders make informed decisions regarding their educational and career paths.
